About the artist

Colombo Fabio

Italy

Born in Genoa in 1984, Fabio Colombo is driven by the need to leave signs of his passage. Attracted to nature’s beauty and deeply introspective, he explores inner conflict, duplicity, and human connections in his work. Using contrasts, textures, and details, Colombo’s pieces capture the intangible aspects of life, often portraying emotional captivity and suffocating immobility. His works combine traditional methods (acrylics, pigment, stucco, and inks) with digital painting, often evolving from hand-made sketches. His art ranges from dark, pessimistic tones to bursts of vibrant color, reflecting the emotional spectrum of human existence.

Part of the Femmes series, this minimal impact artwork celebrates femininity with sinuous, soft curves and bold, decisive flashes. Each piece bears a woman’s name, reflecting Baricco’s words: "They do things, women, at times, who have to stay dry... You wouldn’t be able to have that lightness they have."
