This sculpture begins with the simple folding of paper using the Origami technique, depicting a child's dress that resembles St. Gallen lace. The stylized, raised dress stands in front of two large, elegant shoes, symbolizing the moment every little girl first encounters her femininity.

Mayer Tasch Verena
Verena Mayer-Tasch was born in 1968 in Mainz (Germany), graduated in Landsberg / Lech at the Dominikus Zimmermann Gymnasium and subsequently a carpenter diploma. After moving to Carrara where she lives and works, she graduated in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1992 she has exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad and participates in numerous international sculpture symposiums.
Together with her husband, she manages her own sculpture studio, Studio Marmore + in the centre of Carrara.
