Cochery Yvon
Cochery Yvon is a French figurative contemporary artist. Self-taught, Cochery ( born on December 27 1953) lives and works in Houville la Branche in Eure et Loir.
A big part of his sculptures is realized in bronze. In 2000 he changes his life and his style, roundnesses abound, volumes become important, the softness of lines bring an outlook on life, the flight of expression, the explosion of lightness, generosity and liberty. The shapes are harmonious and attractive with the vivid colors he uses and the presentation in monumental formats makes his sculptures playful.
His favourite subject is forever the woman: obsession, contemplation, creation of man, pleasure, sense of beauty, voluptuousness, sensuality, erotism, comforting and force.
Here is his vision of woman: « she hides all her secrets from us…it’s up to us to discover more and forevermore ».
The work of Yvon Cochery is present in Europe and numerous foreign countries. Certain sculptures can be found in private collections.
