About the artist

Biasetti Valentina

Italy

Valentina Biasetti, a graduate in graphic design and painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, focuses her contemporary artistic research on drawing. Her thesis, Secret Rooms, combines drawings and text, inspired by an imaginary journey with poet Emily Dickinson. Since 2002, she has exhibited in solo and group shows at prestigious galleries and museums in Italy and abroad. Her work explores the relationship between figures, objects, and empty space, creating surreal, poetic dialogues through color and gesture. Biasetti views art as an eternal journey, calling herself an "Independent Walker."

"I would have liked to draw the flowers, but I realized their memory would live not in their physicality, but in their absence. Each artwork is a journey into emptiness, where every void is a circumnavigation of a wound, a fissure opening to new possibilities." – Biasetti Valentina
