About the artist

Sardano Vito

Italy

Vito Sardano, born in Monopoli in 1948, is an artist and industrial designer who began his artistic journey in the 1970s after studying technical drafting. His works, characterized by geometric structures and a balance between creativity and manual skill, express an ordered chaos akin to man's interaction with technology. Sardano’s innovative language combines elements of industrial design with artistic expression. He has exhibited regularly since 1980 and his works are part of prominent collections, including the Municipal Collection of Monopoli and the PAN Museum in Naples. In 2007, art critic Giorgio Di Genova dedicated a comprehensive study of Sardano's work in his book on 20th-century art.
