About
"My plates are evocative modules, built on the idea of the shield: the circle, the perfect element, suggests the circularity of events and the interconnection between things in the world. The black circle as opposed to the light of the fragments of melted glass, the copper and iron sheets and the fluid enamels that bind and incorporate. Together they prefigure the conflict between the invisible and reality, the spiritual and materiality, in an infinite sequence of harmony of contrasts."

Cipriani Elettra
Elettra Cipriani was born in Florence into a family of musicians. During the adolescent years, she moved to Rome where she attended the artistic high school without ever abandoning the music which will be fundamental in the development of her sensitivity and creativity as well as stimulating source of inspiration. She soon gained a keen interest in ceramic which led her to make it a professional choice.
In 1978 she started his activity as a ceramist. The awareness of a lack of attention of the Ceramic Art in Italy, pushed her to transmit her skills through teaching. There are numerous personal exhibitions and her participation in exhibition groups: among the most recent the participation in the exhibition The contemporary ceramic sculpture in Italy at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome.
