The Dress with Rooster sculpture is part of a series that begins with the simple folding of paper using the Origami technique. The focus is on the double material transformation—paper turns into stone, and stone becomes a dress. The hand-engraved surface mimics woven fabric, creating a sculptural composition that tells an intimate, personal story.

Mayer Tasch Verena
Verena Mayer-Tasch was born in 1968 in Mainz (Germany), graduated in Landsberg / Lech at the Dominikus Zimmermann Gymnasium and subsequently a carpenter diploma. After moving to Carrara where she lives and works, she graduated in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1992 she has exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad and participates in numerous international sculpture symposiums.
Together with her husband, she manages her own sculpture studio, Studio Marmore + in the centre of Carrara.
