About the artwork

Untitled II

Paintings. Oil on canvas.

Hand selected by our curators

In this series of paintings and collages, Basher features his signature oil-painted gradated stripes, creating spaces of sublimated psychological desire. The altered retail scenarios evoke both familiarity and strangeness, exploring unspoken drives, and blending the mundane with the exclusive, highbrow with lowbrow, and public with private.
