About the artwork

Frida Kahlo

Sculptures. Nails and thread on wood panel.

Hand selected by our curators

All works of art are unique and handmade. Depending on the subject, 300 to 350 nails and 2 to 5 km of thread are used. The board measures 100 x 100 cm, leaving room for framing. The 1 cm thick poplar plywood prevents warping due to thread tension. The 100% black polyester thread remains taut without breaking.
