Andrea Cagnetti, aka Akelo, is an Italian goldsmith, designer, and sculptor born in 1967 in Corchiano (Viterbo). His artistic journey began with an early focus on ancient technologies related to metallurgy, ceramics, and the working of stones and textiles. After working as an advertising graphic designer in Rome, he returned to his hometown to pursue his craft full-time. Akelo’s works, inspired by both ancient alchemical knowledge and contemporary science, blend classicism with bold abstraction, aiming for Beauty and Harmony. His pieces have been exhibited globally and collected by museums, earning numerous awards and recognition.

Akelo’s sculptures break free from traditional statuary concepts, evolving into dynamic, airy volumes that interact with light and space. Using segmented metal tubes welded together, sometimes chromatically objectified, his works create a dialogue with their surroundings. Signed with the artist’s monogram "A".
