Bradley Ry David
Australia
Ry David Bradley, born in 1979 in Australia, graduated with an MFA from Melbourne University in 2013. He is known for his exploration of digital technologies' impact on contemporary art and society. Bradley’s process-based practice examines the nature of painting in an era where the lines between picture, video, and virtual reality blur. His work merges technology and nature, allowing them to dissolve onto the canvas, making painting both a product of technology and a conscious act by the artist.

Hand selected by our curators
This work is part of a landscape series inspired by rare pictures from the New York library, based on locations shared by anonymous callers during Microsoft's 1996 "Where Do You Want To Go Today?" campaign. Bradley uses heated dyes on synthetic suede and spray paint to create a contemporary painting technique.
