Description
Sewing on canvas.
Spazio Tempo introduces a new dimension to Nejrotti’s language, where shadow becomes a metaphysical element fixed at a specific date and time. As Angelo Crespi notes, daylight or artificial light casts an evolving shadow that aligns with the artist’s sewn mark only at a precise moment, creating a kinetic interplay between physical and metaphysical time, perspective, and perception.

Nejrotti Barbara
Barbara Nejrotti lives and works in Turin. After years dedicated to experimentation, in 2014 she found her own expressive dimension by fusing together different techniques, from woodworking to sewing, from painting to cutting.
With her was born the "technique of thickness" of which she is the repository, by which, both conceptually and physically, she sutures figures in such a way that they maintain thickness in the texture of the works.
She has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including in 2017 at the European Parliament in Brussels and in 2018 at the Chagall House in Tel Aviv. In 2020 after meeting the master Leonardo Mosso, accompanied by Enrico Baleri, she moved definitively to abstraction of spatialist matrix.
