About the artwork

Maccaja del Mare

Photography. Blueprint on cotton paper.

Hand selected by our curators

The humid mist rising from the Ligurian sea, known as Maccaja, envelops a coastal vegetable garden in the morning. Printed using the cyanotype technique, this work captures the soft diffusion of light and atmosphere. Each print is a unique piece, as the process ensures subtle variations, making every reproduction distinct.
