Italy
Mulas MIchele Luigi, trained as an anthropologist, shifted to professional photography and documentary work, focusing on themes of everyday human culture, such as food, suitcases, and gardens. A journalist for over 25 years, he has contributed to major Italian and international magazines. Mula blends research photography with professional work and has exhibited in Milan, Genoa, and Tokyo. He is preparing a cyanotype exhibition for the Verbania Landscape Museum. Mula now lives in Genoa, where the BoraBora, a Tahiti Ketch built in 1963, is moored.
Genova #07
Photography. Blueprint on cotton paper.
Hand selected by our curators
From the Mediterranean Series, captured mainly in the port of Genoa and printed in cyanotype. Gavitello features reflections of trees and stays, where light and water blend into an ever-changing composition. Each print is a unique piece, as the cyanotype process ensures that every reproduction carries subtle, unrepeatable variations.
