Born in Genoa in 1970, Romanengo Laura studied painting restoration in Florence, gaining deep knowledge of both ancient and contemporary works. Her creative process starts with the frame assembly and canvas tensioning, followed by mixing natural pigments and oil in traditional methods. This allows her to experiment with transparencies and textures, using vegetal and mineral pigments for depth. Her work merges the past with informal contemporary styles, embracing both precision and the gestural randomness that brings life to her paintings.
