About the artist

Natalini Viviana

Italy

Born in Lucca in March 1967, Natalini Viviana studied at the Art Institute in Lucca and graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. Early experience in painting and decoration led to work as an assistant set designer for Teatro Del Carretto, known for its papier-mâché "artificial actors." In 2016, she co-designed Le Stanze del Sogno, tracing the company’s history. Now a full-time sculptor, she reinterprets Art Nouveau with a contemporary touch, creating essential, detail-free female figures that embody pure beauty and evoke different emotional states.

About the artwork

The Bride

Sculptures. Terracotta, acrylic, copper leaf.

Hand selected by our curators

Female figure with soft, sinuous contours, paying homage to the structural lines of Art Nouveau. The warm, precious hue of copper leaf contrasts with this simplicity, giving the figure a regal presence.
