Ricci Riccardo
Riccardo Ricci was born in 1970 in La Spezia, province of Italy. In 1997 he graduated with Honors in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara and opened his studio near Carrara and marble quarries.
He exhibits in collective and solo exhibitions, symposia and competitions in Italy (Florence, Turin, Venice, Genoa, Montecatini Terme, Pietrasanta ...) and abroad (Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Spain) receiving several awards. In 2011, MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art) of Barcelona (Spain) acquires a marble work for its permanent exposition.
He has made some monumental sculptures of an Indian Maharaji for a Hindu community in both India and the US. In 2014 and 2015 he is invited by the Hongyu International School of Beijing to hold some drawing lessons and clay sculpture lessons. In 2017 the Museum of Valdepeñas (Spain) purchases another marble work to its collection. He collaborates with international artists such as Cattelan, Penone, Vangi, Fabre, Hirst ...
Currently, he is a Professor of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Art in Perugia, Italy. He lives and works between Carrara (Italy) and Girona (Spain).
