Church Dennis

United States

Dennis Church (b. 1949, Mason City, IA) is an American street photographer known for his intuitive, social commentary through photography. Influenced by his early life on a farm and a spontaneous decision to buy a camera, Church explores "now moments" in urban landscapes. His work, marked by complex color forms, seeks to organize chaos into insightful, often ironic compositions. After a successful commercial career, Church shifted to personal projects following his father’s death in 2000. His photographs are featured in Bystander, A History of Street Photography and have been widely exhibited and published internationally.
