Originally from Wynne, Arkansas, Michael Monroe Ethridge developed his artistic skills under the mentorship of his mother, an avid artist. Initially trained in realism, he embraced abstract art in the 1970s, influenced by the psychedelic era and the freedom of water-based acrylics. Known for his bold use of color, he continues to explore various mediums, drawing inspiration from the bright sunshine and skies of Naples, FL, where he resides and remains actively engaged in his evolving creative journey.
