Hand selected by our curators
Emanuela Giacco, born in L'Aquila in 1983, is an Italian artist whose work blends existential themes, human identity, and sustainability through sculpture and textile art. Initially studying engineering, her career shifted after key encounters in Rome. Her sculptures, often using recycled nautical ropes, symbolize the interconnectedness of human experience and the environmental impact of human actions. With exhibitions across Italy and internationally, Emanuela’s art raises awareness about ocean pollution and encourages reflection on the climate crisis through its blend of activism and beauty.
