About the artwork

Senza Titolo 05

Paintings. Copper leaf on canvas.

Hand selected by our curators

Patrizio Travagli applies copper leaves—symbolizing energy and transmission—onto canvas or board using the ancient gilding technique. The surface is then oxidized, revealing the passage of time through chemical reactions. Without added pigments, the artwork offers a syncretic perspective shaped by light and material transformation.
