About the artist

Trentin Valerie

Italy

Valerie Trentin, born in Genoa, reignited her passion for painting after becoming a lawyer. A lover of figurative art and oil painting, she initially focused on nature, especially animals, before expanding to fantastic and mythological creatures, portraits, and other subjects. Her large canvases reflect her evolving style. In 2021, she illustrated "With Dog's Eyes, with Cat's Eyes and Other Poems" by Mauro Colajacomo. In 2022, she exhibited at the Galata Maritime Museum and currently displays her work at the Roberto Rotta Farinelli Contemporary Art Gallery in Genoa.

Valérie Trentin’s deep love for nature shines through her animal portraits, ranging from exotic wildlife to beloved domestic companions. Her subjects emerge from darkness with a mysterious presence, exist in their natural state, or take on a playful character—like the Bull Terrier seated on an opulent baroque armchair—blending realism with subtle narrative elements.
