About the artwork

Genoa Offices Prison n°2

Photography. Canvas, foam rubber, printed plastic sheet, mesh.

Hand selected by our curators

In the Imprisoned Brains ("Cervelli Imprigionati") series, Profumo explores aspects of modern mankind's everyday insanity through three-dimensional works, using foam rubber as the primary material. The pieces allow the image to breathe, yet trap it within a metallic net that distorts but does not transform. Dante Square is a collage featuring photographs of motorbikes parked in Genoa's Dante Square.
