Renata Giannelli, born in Milan, is a versatile artist who studied at the Polytechnic School of Design and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. After working as a graphic designer and art director, she began creating hand-made textured paper in 1991, achieving significant critical and market success. Giannelli's work, focused on paper as a unique medium, has been showcased at contemporary art fairs in Italy, France, and Germany. In 2007, she transformed her business into a cultural association to promote artistic research. She founded La Scuola della Carta in 2013, offering educational programs in paper art, and now teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
