The knitted dress sculpture starting from a simple fold of paper in the oriental Origami technique depicts a Dress. My interest and the double transformation of the material, the paper turns into stone, the stone into fabric. In this case, the hand-engraved texture resembles a knitted fabric.

Mayer Tasch Verena
Verena Mayer-Tasch was born in 1968 in Mainz (Germany), graduated in Landsberg / Lech at the Dominikus Zimmermann Gymnasium and subsequently a carpenter diploma. After moving to Carrara where she lives and works, she graduated in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1992 she has exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad and participates in numerous international sculpture symposiums.
Together with her husband, she manages her own sculpture studio, Studio Marmore + in the centre of Carrara.
